127 Hours

127 Hours hits theatres this weekend and it looks awesome!

Based off of a true story, 127 Hours stars James Franco as Aron Ralston, a mountain climber who was trapped under a boulder for five days during a hike in the canyons of Utah in May of 2003.

The film was also written and directed by Danny Boyle, who directed Slumdog Millionaire – so I’m expecting good things!

If you remember the news coverage you’ll remember that he does make it out – after amputating his own arm.

Franco is said to give the performance of his career in this flick. After watching the trailer I’m betting it will earn him an Oscar nom.

I used to go on weeklong backpacking trips through the Rockies so I understand why Franco as Ralston turns to self-reflection to get him through his ordeal. When you’re all alone with miles and miles between you and civilization it’s all you can do.

This movie is going to be epic so check it out!
